VALEN
MEET
INTERIOR DESIGN
From the moment I stepped into the world of design as a visual merchandiser in 2007, I found myself drawn to the art of spatial storytelling. What began as creating eye-catching displays in retail evolved into a deep understanding of spatial planning, trends, and the power of design to shape experiences. I learned to work with textures, finishes, commercial furniture, and wall systems, all while managing teams, training sales associates, and executing meticulously planned floor sets based on architectural planograms—essentially, AutoCAD for retail. It was in these early years that I unknowingly laid the foundation for my future in interior design.
Wanting to explore another creative passion, I shifted careers and pursued a professional dance career. But even as I traveled the world performing, my passion for design remained. My six years on tour with a renowned production company gave me hands-on experience in set design and production—another fascinating subdivision of interior design. I witnessed the process from concept sketches to full-scale renderings, sourced materials for elaborate stage builds, and ultimately performed on the very sets I saw come to life. This behind-the-scenes exposure strengthened my ability to blend creativity with functionality, a skill that now influences every space I design.

Beyond the stage, my travels immersed me in the world’s most captivating design cultures. From the timeless elegance of Paris, the bold modernism of São Paulo, and the space-savvy ingenuity of Hong Kong, to the seamless blend of tradition and innovation in Tokyo and the sustainable, forward-thinking architecture of Singapore, I absorbed diverse approaches to interiors. Each city, with its unique architectural language, further refined my perspective on how design can transform the way we live, work, and connect.
Returning to my first love—interior design—I earned my B.S. in Interior Design, graduating with honors, and spent the next decade refining my expertise in kitchen and bath remodels, space planning, and material sourcing. Now, as the owner of Valen Interior Design, I bring all these experiences together to create thoughtful, functional, and deeply personal spaces for my clients.
For me, design is more than aesthetics—it’s about how a space makes you feel. It’s about crafting environments that support your lifestyle, enhance your daily experiences, and reflect who you are. Whether it's a modern kitchen, a cozy retreat, or a statement commercial space, my goal is to guide you toward a design that truly feels like home.
Let’s create something incredible together.
